It was only a matter of time before airbag technology became wearable, and now it has in a couple of applications. The first one I read about was an airbag helmet meant for bicyclists, it is worn around the neck until it is deployed in 0.1 seconds after the cyclist pattern scan indicates an interruption. There are also airbags for seniors or otherwise fragile adults at risk for bone breaks, they also have one for the head, hips and vests, and they also deploy in milliseconds. These products both sound great though with knowing the hazards associated with automobile airbags it seems likely that there may be drawbacks as well.
