Most everyone know how smart crows are, how they can use tools and recognize human faces but what about bees? In 2005 researchers tested bees ability to remember pictures of human faces, then they rewarded correct matches with drops of sugar water and the bees were right 90% of the time even two days after seeing them and having the rewards removed. The research showed that a complex brain is not needed to tell differences in the environment but it shouldn't be too surprising since bees can visit up to 5,000 flowers a day and remember which ones give off the most nectar.
