Mango Tangle

Is nothing sacred? Apparently not as the list of poisonous things just keeps growing. The seemingly innocuous mango belongs to the same plant family as poison ivy and if you are allergic to poison ivy avoid contact with mango skin, leaves or bark. After any contact wash hands thoroughly with strong soap or rubbing alcohol (moist towelettes and hand sanitizer can also be used as they are more portable) to remove the urushoil oil and avoid spreading it to other areas or clothing. Burning any part of the plant will produce the same results as burning poison ivy...which in case you don't know are not desirable!
