I thought it was appropriate that a dog from the working group should be approved for unemployment benefits,it just fits nicely, now if it were the toy group or the non sporting group I would have questioned the decision to grant the benefits! But wait,it gets even stranger! The German Shepard's owner is a Michigan attorney named Michael Haddock and when he received a notice in the mail from the unemployment agency telling him they had accepted the claim for Michael Ryder for $360 per week he was a bit puzzled. As it turns out his dog's name is Ryder and chances are someone was trying to put in a fraudulent claim and not that Ryder had been moonlighting unbeknownst to his owner, though he did say if Ryder wanted to contribute to the household income he wouldn't be against the idea. No benefits were actually paid, nor were any animals injured!
