It's in the Bag

A 28 year old woman in north west China created a wedding dress out of 40 cement sacks on a rainy afternoon in around 3 hours. The sacks were from some recent work being done on their home and apparently she had been looking through a magazine and decided to put the bags to use. The woman has never been to design school in fact she dropped out of school when her father died of cancer and went to work on the farms. She married in 2012 and has a son. Don't take me wrong here,I admire her recycling effort and creativity but it still looks like a dress?made out of cement sacks in 3 hours. My advice would be not to quit her day job,but we all know about me and fashion...I'm still trying to figure out why I buy new jeans when mine wear out when everyone else pays for jeans with holes in them.
28-year-old Tan Lili produced the entire gown - completed with a bridal hat and a lengthy dress train - with 40 discarded cement bags after using the contents to renovate her home in China
While most wedding gowns are made of silk, satin and lace, a woman in north-west China impressed millions by creating a stunning dress with theƂ least expected materials
Pictures and video footage shows a proud Tan walking out in the charming woven dress featuring an open back design, which she created in three hours last Wednesday
