Most people in the course of a lifetime have experienced bad neighbors though few people go to great lengths to extract revenge like in the case of a spite house. A spite house is one built to annoy bad neighbors and is usually made to block a view or otherwise inconvenience them, sometimes basic comforts of a home are ignored in order to make the structure as aggravating as possible. Of course with today's building codes spite houses are becoming a thing of the past though you can still find spite fences and walls. Seems like an incredible waste of materials and energy just to express displeasure unless of course someone poisoned a pet or something equally bad but those kind of things should be reported to the proper authorities instead of taking matters into your own hands.
