This Isn't a Good Green

For the most part the word "green" is associated with ecology and good things environmentally but when it comes to our oceans green isn't good. In the last 20 years the oceans have warmed from greenhouse gases altering the aquatic life. Normally the oceans absorbs the longer wavelengths and scatters the blue but a change in the phytoplankton which is an algae responsible for 70% of the world's oxygen and also the foundation of the marine food web is in trouble.  The temperature rise in the oceans limits the nutrients that rise to the surface and the types of plankton that can survive. NASA's Aqua satellite has noted these changes in 56% of the oceans. If you don't see the difference yet it's because the change in hue is too slight to be detected by the human eye but is clearly seen by the satellite. Please trust the science before we are out of time to correct our course.
