A little girl and her mother were enjoying a day at Indian Shores Beach,FL when a seagull dropped what appeared to be a Cheeto on the sand. The girl walked over to investigate and discovered it was a seahorse. The girl and her mother put the tiny creature into a bucket of seawater and contacted the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The aquarium decided to call the female seahorse Cheeto in honor of the little girl who saved her. She is currently rehabilitating and is eating and doing well. It is expected she will fully recover and be released into the wild. An interesting bit of trivia on seahorses,the females lays her eggs in the males pouch and he gives birth to their young,they also have crypsis which is the ability to change color to blend with their surroundings .
