The benefits of this Japanese IT company is nearly enough to induce me to come out of retirement. Japan is well known for their workaholic ways and the toll the stress and long hours take on the employees so in 2000 Ferray introduced an office cat policy. They now have 9 cats in the office who eat,sleep and play while the employees go about their days. The head of the firm also gives $45 a month to any employee who rescues a cat. The policy is not without its problems,the cats occasionally disconnect phone calls and have shut down computers but the head of the firm thinks maybe the cats are telling the people they need to take a break.
