With the current political climate in the US having four legged animals holding public offices sounds like a vast improvement,but this time it's happening in Canada. St. John's,Newfoundland has Finn the Australian Cattle Dog running for mayor. Finn plans to help business,improve taxes and also expressed his commitment to public works projects. Being an avid walker potholes and snow clearing are big issues for him and he is a tireless,hands (paws?) on worker. Though it wasn't mentioned I am sure Finn isn't a science denier as animals have a special sense that helps them feel things undetected by humans. He also has a special love for the underdog unlike some elected officials...heck,even Hitler had a dog he loved,unlike a certain elected tweeter in chief.
