It is with the utmost respect that I refer to this Cuban lady with the "can do" attitude of people in her age group,just in case anyone thought today's title was meant in a politically incorrect manner. This 82 year old woman when faced with the corona-virus and no one to do her errands for her she managed to salvaged cardboard from the local pharmacy and made herself a protective house out of it complete with a plastic viewing space for her face. Cuba has no protective gear for sale in their shops so people are on their own as far a personal protection. Not only did the retired nurse manage to tend her own affairs she also continued to give her neighbors injections when needed,but she said her most important role was bringing humor during a time of stress and anxiety.
