Words are always interesting,the different meanings of the same words,and of course all of the onyms (synonyms,homonyms,etc.),then there are foreign words and phrases,makes one wonder where they all come from. Speaking of that in Germany the pandemic has inspired 1,200 new words and some I find both amusing and noteworthy. Gesichtskondom,meaning face condom,Maskentrottel,meaning mask idiot,you know the people wearing their masks incorrectly? Then there's Coronamutationsgebiet,Corona mutation area,and Abstandsbier or distance beer. In a normal year the German language adds around 200 words so the virus has contributed significantly. What did English speakers add? Social distancing,and super spreader event.
