I've never stayed at a B&B though I would guess that other than following house rules a person could expect to be treated as a guest,by that I don't mean being waited on hand and foot but also not expected to do chores since most likely when you're on vacation and have plans of your own. This particular B&B had other plans for their guests though,like watering 10 hanging flower baskets twice a day,never mind the owner lived on site. Entitlement seems to be the order of the day no matter where a person is. If a person had signed on at a ranch to get a taste of farm living I can see being assigned chores but other than that no,not even for a sizable discount,after all it's your vacation.
