Nowadays email is nearly a thing of the past with quicker ways to accomplish the same thing and what is the fastest today will be replaced by something faster,but I digress. In 1997 Garfield's creator,Jim Davis launched the first G-mail,marketed as email with a "cattitude", users could sign up for their email address that ended with @catsrule.garfield.com. Around 2001 they shortened the address to e-garfield.com and Google started with what we all think of as gmail in 2004. Now we know the rest of the story!
