That's right,our government has us covered right up until death (which they end up taxing when at all possible). The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) finally decided it was time for the predatory funeral business to take a hit,so you can now purchase coffins and urns for your burial or that of a loved one from places like Walmart and Costco. I don't believe either store is devoting floor space to their funeral offerings at this time,but who knows what might happen in the future? From the websites I viewed Walmart has Costco beat on casket prices,their lowest price was $759 while lowest price offered by Costco was $1,299.00,but that may include expedited shipping I couldn't tell for sure and of course they come in the giant Costco size!! (just kidding) Costco also offers sympathy flowers and keepsakes. Seems weird but I guess it was only a matter of time before discount funerals would be offered,and why not? It isn't like you will be around to enjoy it!
