Apparently Doritos is out to expand their customer base in a big way, that or they had an excess of funds in their advertising budget. Which ever the case may be Doritos is the first company to send a commercial into space. The target audience is 42 light years away in the Ursa Major Constellation. It is a star similar to our Sun and could harbor life supporting planets. I still don't know why Doritos would spend an undisclosed amount of money for the ad which if seen by aliens would most likely not be understood, but it was probably more for the publicity of being the first company to advertise in space...it's not like a bag of Doritos have any chance of making it to another galaxy and remaining fresh, and what are the aliens going to do call an 800 number and place an order? With any luck they won't mistake it for an act of war.
