In the Pink

As often happens after I write a post on a subject similar items seem to pop up,kind of like the domino effect. Monday's post about the Peeps Oreos and their pink side effects has set off a pink series of events. A salt lake in Australia has turned pink (no,not from the peeps!) and the park officials warned visitors not to touch or drink the water. It is not the first time the lake has turned pink, the cause is an algae that grows in certain conditions.

Residents of Onoway,Alberta,Canada flooded the town office with concerns over the pink tap water. The city assured the citizens the water was safe to use and was a product of chemicals used to flush the system. I don't think I would want to use pink water either regardless of assurances that it was safe.
