Trouble Sleeping?

People seem to be preoccupied with sleep, they either don't feel like they get enough or they spend their waking life wishing they were asleep, which brings me to the poor ungainly giraffe. Giraffes only sleep from 20-30 minutes a day, because of their long necks they have the highest blood pressure of any mammal (260/160 resting) and they give birth standing up so the baby giraffe enters the world dropping from about 6 feet right onto its head. As if those things wouldn't make a giraffe's life difficult enough they some times sleep standing up as it is hard for them to get up quickly and those 20-30 minutes sleep they get per day are usually divided up during the course of a day instead of one solid block of time. Drinking is also a cumbersome task for the giraffe but they are able to get most of their water from the plants they eat so they don't need to drink every day. When they do lie down to sleep they are vulnerable but really cute!
