Champagne Price on a Beer Budget

An Australian journalist and beer aficionado went into a hotel bar in London and asked for an English beer. First he was offered a Heineken which he declined,he settled for a Scottish IPA. When he got the check he had a feeling he had been over charged for the $6.76 beer and since he wasn't wearing his glasses  he asked the bartender what he had been charged, she started giggling then told him the charge was $67,689. The motel told him not to worry, the charge probably wouldn't go through, but it did, then his bank said it would be around 10 days for the charge to be cleared. The big hearted folks at the motel told him the next time he came in his drink would be on the house. I'm not so sure there is going to be a next time.
I may not have a post for the next couple of days. If the weather holds I'm putting some stuff in the neighbors garage sale and don't know how tied up I'll be with that.

Peter Lalor has had a lot of beer. Good beer, too. But he's certainly never had a drink worth more than the cost of a new car or a year of college tuition.
