Tech Toilets

From what I've read it would be hard to decide if the Japanese are more obsessed with cleanliness or technology though in this case they have combined the two. High tech toilets originated in the US and Switzerland for use in hospitals and care facilities, then in 1964 Japaneses toilet manufacturers started producing the toilets though because of reluctance to publicly discuss toilets they were not commercially advertised until 1982 and from there they took off to the point where 76% of the households now have one or more of the tech toilets. They have features that heat the seat, control temp and water pressure of the bidet system plus some models feature air drying and cleaning after every use. Their prices reflect these luxuries starting at $232 up to $9,300.
