Death Benefit?

A safety technician, oddly enough, died of a heart attack while having sex on a business trip to an area about 90 miles north of Paris, but wait that's not the weird part.  The Court of Appeal Paris recently ruled it a workplace accident. His employer argued that sex was not part of his work plus he died at a hotel other than the one he was staying at for the work trip. The court stated that while on a business trip it didn't matter if the accident happened during work or personal time, the employer is still responsible. I can't imagine the courts of the US deciding for the employee in this case, plus I wonder was there a spouse to collect from his death? If so,that would be an awkward situation.
The death of an employee who died while having sexual intercourse during a business trip in France in 2013 was ruled a "workplace accident."
