Mr. Clean,aka Mr. Proper had a beginning that I knew nothing about,of course back when he was introduced (1957) most of us were a little young to know much of anything. Mr. Clean came into being on the porch of a farmer,he cleaned it so well the farmer and his wife decided to adopt him. The hard working baby grew up big and strong and traveled the world cleaning up messes. His image was modeled after a retired navy sailor from Florida. In 1962 Procter and Gamble held a contest to give Mr. Clean a first name,drum roll please...Veritably.
