In case no one has noticed I often include words or phrases which I mention would be a good name for a band,though I stole that idea from Dave Barry. I thought today I would follow up that with where a few bands actually got their names. AC/DC chose their name from the back of a sewing machine in reference to electrical current,even though the anti rock folks tried to make it refer to something sinister.
Alice Cooper started out as The Nazz but discovered that name was already taken so according to press releases they chose Alice Cooper because Furnier had been told by a Ouija board that he was the reincarnation of a 17th century witch named Alice Cooper.
