An Oregon woman figured out too late that she had accidentally trained her 3 year old cat Esme to have sticky paws. It started out with praise for bringing a mask home to her owner instead of a bird or mouse so Esme decided human items were the preferred gift for her owner. Esme's behavior quickly escalated after the lavish praise and she managed to bring home 11 masks in one day,apparently the neighborhood was running short of masks at that point as Esme turned to bringing home gloves,a swimsuit,a camera,rolls of tape,knee pads,a package of paint rollers,lengths of fabric and a taxidermy bat. The woman has since put up a sign asking neighbors to please take the items that belong to them and explaining that her cat drug them home to her.
