In what seems like counter productive move an Australian brewer has recalled their Watermelon Sour Beer for having excessive alcohol. Of course it wasn't their idea to issue the recall that duty fell on Australia Food Standards Agency,but the interesting part is how did they find out about it? It doesn't seem likely that a consumer would complain about excessive alcohol in an alcoholic beverage. Imagine yourself enjoying an adult beverage,getting a buzz and saying to yourself,"Hey,this is way stronger than I thought it would be!" Nope,doesn't seem likely. The reason for the excessive alcohol was unintentional secondary fermentation which they think was triggered by some of the beer being left unrefrigerated. Not only does Watermelon Sour Beer sound delicious it would also be a good name for a rock band.
