You know how you see the memes on social media about lunches that were deemed inappropriate by teachers? and they look pretty innocent with some veggies cut into shapes, crackers and cheese and some fruit and I'm pretty sure they are being posted from the US. Well in the UK apparently it isn't a big deal to send you kid to school with a beer for lunch since a man recently did just that having mixed up the sparkling water with Guinness. He went to the school and explained what happened and switched the drinks, no big deal. Then others chimed in on similar mistakes. One had a strawberry wine cooler because the mom didn't speak or read English, another sent cat treats for the class because they looked just like fruit snacks. I'm not sure if these parents are overly tired or need eye exams but one thing I am sure of in this country they would be contacted by children services who have zero sense of humor.
