The Deal with February

Have you ever wondered why out of all the months February ended up with 28 days? In the late 8th century BCE Romans were superstitious about even numbers and considered them unlucky. Even when the twelve month calendar was created there was no mathematical way to make all the months have either 29 or 31 days and the number of days in the year to also be odd. So February was left with the unlucky 28 days until the Julian calendar was introduced giving it 29 days every four years. Apparently that gives 2024 lucky status which also goes with the Year of the Dragon being a lucky year, so have a good luck year!
