There are some strange laws still on the books in several states though I guess at the rate new laws are made there really isn't time to go back and clean things up. In Delaware it is illegal for "second hand" dealers, pawnbrokers and scrap metal processors to accept artificial limbs or wheelchairs. I'm guessing this was to protect the theft of artificial limbs and wheelchairs because it is perfectly legal to sell your own prosthetics and wheelchairs. In New Hampshire it is illegal to take seaweed from the shore at night, though it is perfectly fine to take it during the day. The state's best guess on this law was to prevent farmers from taking too much seaweed in the cover of night.
