Is everyone crabby after the time change? of course those of you in Europe still have that to look forward to on the 31st plus Europeans get back off DSL sooner, in conclusion there is no logic to fooling with the clocks, unless your a new doctor wanting to drum up business or an auto body shop, since medical emergencies and accidents tend to happen around the time changes. Seriously though Ben Franklin often gets blamed for the whole idea but he was JOKING about the French when he suggested it. There is actually a couple of people to blame though probably neither would want to take credit for it. In 1895 a New Zealand entomologist suggested a 2 hour time change in the spring and fall to allow him more time to study insects. In 1907 a British builder, William Willett, proposed what eventually came into use during WWI, it was known as "War Time" and was made the law in 1966. Finally after all those years of inconvenience several states are working to do away with DSL. Can't happen fast enough!
