That's just one goofy guess at what the letters SOS stand for but the bottom line is they don't stand for anything. Not only do those letters not mean anything they can also be several other letter combinations like, IJS, SMB and VTB as all they really need to be is a string of 3 dots, 3 dashes and 3 dots (...---...), SOS was decided on more for convenience than any other reason. At first different organizations and countries had their own distress signals, the US Navy used NC, Marconi Company which leased telegraph equipment and operators to various ships and companies used the letters CQD. It was eventually decided that everyone needed to be on the same page in order to avert disaster. Speaking of disaster...the Titanic sent the first distress signal as CQD then decided to send SOS to cover the bases.
