Have you heard of Rocky Wood? Rocky is an author who lives in Australia. He has written several books about Stephen King and his works, as well as a few novels. When Rocky was diagnosed with ALS aka MND in Australia, a group of authors including King got together and wrote a collection of short stories titled "Rage Against the Night" to help finance the purchase of a machine that will allow him to communicate as the disease progresses. I was very touched by the kindness and camaraderie of this group and have purchased the book and am currently reading it. Unlike some horror stories these offer characters that as King put it "stand up against the darkness,stare it right in the eye,and give it the finger". It is a terrible disease Rocky is up against and I urge anyone with the least interest to purchase the book. I will also be purchasing books by Rocky not only for my enjoyment but with the hope that I am helping with his struggle.
