It's entirely possible that I'm living in the dark ages when it comes to Alexa and other voice enabled products but maybe this time I am being cautious for a good reason. While Alexa can be programmed to laugh when specifically asked to laugh, the device has been reported to be laughing in response to unrelated commands. Now if that doesn't give you pause Amazon has reassured customers that they were working on a solution for this unexplained bug and would push the updates directly to Alexa when they found a fix. Call me old fashioned but Amazon having the ability to send updates only makes it more frightening and puts me in mind of subliminal messages,of course with current events considered it could also be a well deserved dose of paranoia.
