The term social distancing is a 21st century phrase but the action itself goes as far back as biblical times and has been successfully used every since. With some businesses opening up again there are several ways to outline the safe distances to customers. Some places go with taped off areas,chairs on tables and other standards but the more creative proprietors have come up with things like seating blow up dolls at tables so their space doesn't seem as empty. Others have purchased small greenhouses that isolate individuals from their neighbors. One of the more fun loving options I've seen are hats with pool noodles on top causing anyone who gets to close to be whacked with a noodle. It's refreshing to see that people have kept their sense of humor through these trying times.
