Remember the super continent Pangea which broke up around 300 million years ago forming today's continents? There is another theory that includes both Atlantis and Lemuria that was developed in the 19th century to explain the high concentration of lemurs on Madagascar. The map I found doesn't make the connection very clear since it pictures Lemuria in the Pacific but it was actually supposed to be in the Indian Ocean near Madagascar so if that were true it would make sense plus it would give Atlantis an actual place in the world other than that of a myth. Sorry,but I've always enjoyed reading about Atlantis and the different stories that relate to the place but thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else thought it was interesting.
