Though they are seldom seen the feral cat colony at Disneyland has been there since the park's opening, not the same cats of course, but the number has stayed pretty much the same at around 200. The cats are the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the rodent population in check, which if you think about it is pretty funny considering Mickey is after all a mouse. They are paid with feeding stations, medical care, vaccines and all the rodents a cat could want. If you should be lucky enough to spot a cat on their rounds feel free to take a picture but do not approach it or try to pet it as once they become friendly they have to find a home outside the park.
