Maybe Nevada is quirky because it gained statehood on 10/31/1864 or maybe that has nothing to do with it,but there is a smorgasbord of strange in that state. We all know the stories about Area 51 so I won't go into that,but maybe it was the above ground nuclear testing that caused the quirks? The testing did usher in Atomic Pageants where women dressed in atomic themed costumes,but maybe the oddest is the micro-nation,Republic of Molossia,complete with its own dictator,Kevin Baugh. The one acre micro-nation has its own currency(the valora) based on the value of cookie dough and a navy consisting of two kayaks. Those things alone make the legalized prostitution seem normal and speaking of prostitution in 2016 a group calling themselves "Hookers for Hillary" gave Hillary Clinton their approval.
