A young girl in California wrote a letter to Los Angeles animal control requesting a license to keep a unicorn in her backyard if she could find one. The department responded by praising her sense of responsibility regarding pet ownership and the foresight to make her request in advance and the thoughtfulness of the unicorns needs. They then sent her the letter,license,license tag and a stuffed unicorn to have until she found a real one. Always nice to hear there a real people working in bureaucracies.
