In an age old ritual the mayor of a small Mexican town married a 7 year old crocodile known as Little Princess and thought to be a deity representing mother earth. The ceremony goes back centuries when the area was pre-Hispanic and is now mixed with Catholic spirituality. The bride was dressed in a white wedding dress with the typical music and dancing at the celebration. The crocodile represents water, a good harvest and rains so God sends the town food, fish and a bountiful harvest when the union between the princess and her servant is sealed. It kind of looks like the princess is slightly annoyed.
