Waffling

Before their now famous waffle brand the Dorsa brothers first product was mayonnaise which they whipped up using 100% fresh ranch eggs, they appropriately named their new company Eggo. Even though they were starting out during the 1930s and the depression, their brand sold exceedingly well, so well they decided to expand their business into making waffle batter, another egg based product plus they also made a powdered mix that only needed to have milk added. Along came the 50s and frozen foods gained traction so they pivoted their waffle business to make a frozen rendition which they made with an old carousel engine that rotated with the batter pouring into waffle irons manned by waffle flippers enabling them to produce thousands of waffles per hour. When they hit the freezer section of grocery stores they went by the name "Froffles" a portmanteau of frozen and waffles though the name never caught on with customers who simply called them Eggos so the original name was dropped.
