Resurrection Mary is a ghost story I read about in the past, and happened onto another reference a few days ago. The sightings of this ghost have been going on since the 1930s and all of them describe the same thing. Here is her story for you to ponder.
Mary had spent the evening dancing with a boyfriend at the Oh Henry Ballroom, they had an argument and Mary stormed out. She thought she would rather face a cold walk home than spend another minute with her boyfriend. She hadn't gotten very far when she was struck and killed by a hit and run driver. Her parents found her and were grief stricken. They buried her in Resurrection Cemetery wearing a white dancing dress and matching shoes. Since then she has been sighted at different dances, has gotten into cabs and cars only to disappear when they pass Resurrection Cemetery. There were sightings in 1976,1978,1980, and 1989 where she was struck or nearly struck by cars, but disappears by the time the driver gets out. The sightings began to taper off in the 1990s. All describe the same woman with blond hair and blue eyes wearing a white dancing dress and shoes.
