It is already the second Tuesday in this short month and also the day to celebrate Extraterrestrial Culture. I was intrigued by this holiday when I did the monthly calendar and wanted to find more information. The holiday began in 2003 when a Republican Representative from New Mexico submitted a proposal to legislature to set aside a day to "celebrate and honor all past, present and future extraterrestrial visitors." He thought it was time to capitalize on something that "did or did not happen" decades ago (1947). For those of you with a fondness for unexplained events you might also want to check out the UFO Festival and Extraterrestrial Abductions Day (March 20th). Live long and prosper!
