I'm impressed with Hong Kong's campaign to stop litterbugs, but a little confused on one point. From what I have read it takes at least 30 days to analyze DNA,not that it can't be done more quickly but because there is a backlog problem,so in that respect isn't testing litter for DNA increasing the backlog problem? Back to the story at hand...they call the campaign "The Face of Litter" and are gathering DNA from the litter they collect then making wanted posters and digital banners and displaying them in high traffic areas hoping to shame the litterers into changing their behavior. I am all for the idea as litter is not only unsightly and annoying but can also be a health hazard. The pictures also include the item they littered with, imagine if you will the guy in the poster with the used condom seeing his face plastered everywhere for friends and family to see!
