When a person reads about an unemployed couple winning a lottery it sounds like a blessing,but what if the couple blows the $72,000 in less than a years time then demands their benefits be reinstated? That is what happened to an English couple in Guernsey. Without any thought for their future they moved out of the apartment they were provided and into an upscale place which they then furnished complete with 50 inch flat screen TV. Now they are appealing to the public about how unfair the social security (name for welfare in England) system is being for not immediately reinstating their benefits,and wanting an account of how their winnings were spent. They also seem some what put off by the government insisting they look for work. Really folks? Where did they get the money for the ticket in the first place?
