File today's post under "be careful what you wish for". Actually some people might be delighted by the prospect of an Augmented Reality Supermarket that gives updated information on any product that a person selects from a shelf or display including allergens and nutritional information. For me it seems more like a nightmare but I hate shopping and the thought of every item giving me information is a bit on the Orwellian side for me. I still have trouble with the enormous amount of items to choose from and if the item is not something I normally purchase it can be time consuming to figure out what I need and I suppose maybe the Augmented Reality might be a help in that scenario but I still long for simpler times. The first Augmented Reality store just opened in Italy so I'm guessing we will have years to prepare before it comes to the US.
