I'm not overly familiar with armadillos but from what I understand they eat a lot of insects and other bothersome critters. They are diggers and can apparently ruin a lawn though there are ways to get them out of the area you don't want them in short of killing them,though a man in Texas decided he had a better idea. The man went outside at 3a.m. (wonder why he was up at that hour?) with a loaded .38 revolver and fired three shots at an armadillo. The armadillo's shell deflected one of the bullets which ricocheted and struck the man in the jaw. The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital where his jaw was wired shut,the armadillo disappeared and is presumed to be okay.
