Most people in the US love the new car smell even though the very things that go together to make that smell are bad for your health,in fact the trend goes so far as to even include sprays and air fresheners with the new car scent. People in China are a lot more practical about how their new cars smell which has forced Ford Motors to employ sniffers to smell test the materials that the cars are made of. The goal is for the new cars in China is to be odorless. The sniff testers have to avoid others smells and even spicy foods to ensure their noses are in optimum working order. I'm only guessing but I doubt any of the sniffers at Ford complain that their jobs stink.
