The moral of this story is no matter what kind of diva you consider yourself you should be able to take criticism,even when it may be less than constructive,it's still part of the job. A ballet director in Hanover,Germany was not pleased with a recent newspaper review of his ballet company and upon finding the woman responsible inside the opera house pulled out a paper bag of dog feces and smeared it on her face. Okay now! I guess one could argue it was a job hazard but talk about premeditated,that director must have been walking around with dog poop in a paper bag with hopes of spotting the woman which seems kind of like self punishment since it was a paper bag after all,and did he have a glove handy or did he just dig right in bare handed? seems like a messy way to respond but maybe that's just me? He did get suspended so I don't think he really thought his actions through.
