Death Diving has actually been around since the early 1970s though as with many other obscure sports it hasn't had much of a following until 2008 when the first championship was held then of course videos on the internet. The object of the sport it to jump off of high (up to 80 feet) objects into water. The thing people are fearing is that children will decide to try it on their own and get killed or severely injured. The first thing that comes to mind when I saw this is what all mothers said when we were growing up,"if your friend jumped off a cliff would you jump too?" Roughly translated to don't be stupid,think for yourself. On the other hand when over protective parents basically want to wrap their children in bubble wrap to make sure then never get a scratch it too far the other way,so again it's all about moderation.
