We Need More Cowboys

I was paging through a trivia book and came across something that I thought was noteworthy. The Cowboy Code was created by Gene Autry as early as 1947 and applied to his productions. He is probably too old for some readers to remember, but was an interesting person with an interesting history. Autry was also the only entertainer to have all five stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The code follows:
1 The Cowboy must never shoot first, hit a smaller man,or take unfair advantage.
2 He must never go back on his word,or a trust confided in him.
3 He must always tell the truth.
4 He must be gentle with children, the elderly, and animals.
5 He must not advocate or possess racially or religiously intolerant ideas.
6 He must help people in distress.
7 He must be a good worker.
8 He must keep himself clean in thought, speech, action, and personal habits.
9 He must respect women, parents, and his nation's laws.
10 A Cowboy is a patriot.
I also want to add that his birthday was September 29,1907 and he lived to be 91 years old,so he fit the criteria of a blog from a few days ago on longevity as related to birth months.
