The idiom I used for today's title is a perfect fit for today's post. A North Carolina man decided to give his 2000 Blazer a new look by covering the exterior with 51,300 pennies worth $513. It took him around seven weeks working six to seven hours a day, using 80 tubes of silicone glue and 3 gallons of fiberglass boat glue and one penny at a time. The pennies added so much weight to the truck the hood needs to be propped open, and I imagine this extra weight also affects the fuel consumption,so even though he managed to get a unique look for his Blazer for a low price the cost of the extra fuel will make up for that bargain quickly!
